Manufacturing Engineer - All Shift

Full Time Key Position - Moraine, OH, US

Salary: $61,800.00 To $65,000.00 Annually

Job Summary

Responsible for improving pretreatment product quality, reducing the scrap rate in the production process, and enhancing output.

Job Functions & Duties

• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Develop, implement, and optimize production workflows, layouts, and standard work.
• Support new equipment installation and lead process validation.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, yield, and downtime.
• Support the launch of new automotive glass products and ensure smooth transition into mass production.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma).
• Other duties as assigned.
• Management may assign or re‑assign duties as needed.

Job Requirements - Language

Languages commonly spoken in the workplace: English and/or Mandarin. Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership, and customers.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Physical Condition

The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods, turn at the waist, reach, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety requirements: safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel‑toed work boots. Visual acuity: near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, color vision, field of vision.

Other Requirements

• Mathematical Skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Reasoning Ability – solutions to practical problems and dealing with a variety of variables.
• Computer Skills – knowledge of and familiarity with manufacturing software.

Training Requirements

Competent in solving difficult problems in production; knowledge of production management; leading, communication, coordination, and organizational skills; skilled in coating technology, enhancing, and training subordinates.
