Job summary

Cts Technology Solutions, Inc. is looking for a dedicated engineer in Charleston, South Carolina for a contract role lasting at least 6 months, with a pay of up to $72.00/hour. The position is 100% onsite.

Successful candidates will implement production methodologies and collaborate with Integrated Product Teams. A Bachelor’s or higher in an engineering or science field and significant engineering experience related to production and electrical subsystems are mandatory.

Flexibility for shift work is required, with potential extensions or full-time opportunities after contract completion.

Job description

Charleston, South Carolina 6+ months Up to $72.00/Hour Contract Willing to work any shift

Overview

These positions are for both 1st and 2nd shift. Candidates must be open to both shifts and will be assigned one or the other at time of offer.

100% onsite.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies.
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs while maintaining the program architecture for build.
  • Lead and implement manufacturing plans.
  • Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability aligns with requirements.
  • Assist in providing producibility information for project plans and document best practices.
  • Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
  • Resolve technical problems that significantly impact performance, cost, or schedule.
  • Coordinate and implement new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts.
  • Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
  • Implement lean principles and technologies.

6+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.

What you'll need
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)
  • Must have a Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an ABET accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and applicable experience in a professional exempt engineering classification.
  • 5+ or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience related to the development, selection, and/or revision of parts, materials, and process specifications for production testing, electrical subsystems, aircraft interiors, and other aircraft systems.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, including ownership of value stream build plans.
  • Experience with 787 systems, build plans, production testing, electrical installations, and/or aircraft interiors is a plus.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a diverse and demanding work environment and schedule.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
