- Works with suppliers to determine product specifications and conformance to quality standards, and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts.
- Prior experience working in a lean manufacturing environment;
- Metal Forming/Welding/Fabrications experience in a manufacturing environment; - preferred.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers;
- Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Effectively establish understand and communicate with individuals at multiple levels of the organization including shop floor and office;
- Experience in conducting time studies;
- Experience identifying and developing solutions to Safety, Quality and Velocity issues in a shop floor environment; and thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering.
Experience
- Lean experience
- Project management including facilitating cross-functional teams
- 3 - 5 years of manufacturing engineering related experience.
- ERP experience, JDE preferred
- Experience working with 3D Modeling (Solid Edge, SolidWorks etc).
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing;
- Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with ERP - preferred
Position Summary
Morbark’s Manufacturing Engineer position works as part of a team to maintain and improve processes and systems used in manufacturing. Manufacturing Engineers work under minimal supervision, independently prepare, conduct, and evaluate analyses for planning process implementation of new or modified product designs to the factory.
The Manufacturing Engineer will also lead problem solving for manufacturing issues (production methods and procedures) in a specific function (including layout, production flow, tooling and production equipment, material fabrication, assembly methods and planning) in a Pre-Production, Production or Post-Production environment.
