Job description

Our Global Instrumentation & Control (I&C) business is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our production facility located in Warrendale, Pennsylvania. Global I&C produces complex, electro-mechanical instrumentation systems used in the commercial nuclear industry for customers worldwide.

In this position, a Manufacturing Engineer can expect to be responsible for the following:

  1. Recommend and develop build sequences for a variety of Safety and Non-Safety Nuclear I&C systems.
  2. Work effectively with I&C hardware design teams to resolve design issues on the production floor.
  3. Analyze nonconformances and provide instructions to technicians for rework & repair.
  4. Participate in weekly production meetings with planning, project engineering, and project management.
  5. Collaborate with project team, shop technicians, QC, QA, supply chain, and planning when issues arise to drive solutions safely and with high quality.
  6. Work with Production Planning and shop Technicians in the development of production order operations.
  7. Work with Quality Control to prioritize inspections of procured and manufactured goods.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
  2. An understanding of the commercial nuclear industry or other regulated industry.
  3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
