Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for designing and manufacturing fixtures, machines, and tools with emphasis on safety and ergonomics.
• Review plans and specs for new machinery to ensure required safety measures are included.
• Assist in preparing FMEA reports and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Support ergonomics programs and health and safety initiatives at the plant.
• Conduct plant surveys to assess exposure to hazards such as noise, dust, fumes, and radiation.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental and Material Management systems (ISO 14001).
• Promote safety and report unsafe conditions per company and legal standards.

Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should possess an undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in computer software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and AutoCAD.

Key responsibilities

• Providing engineering support for designing and manufacturing fixtures, machines, and tools, ensuring ergonomic and safety standards.
• Examines plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to ascertain if all safety precautions have been included.
• Assists in preparing Failure Mode Affects Analysis Reports. Facilitates compliance with all OSHA regulations relating to the plant.
• Assisting in ergonomics programs and plant health and safety initiatives to prevent unsafe working conditions.
• Conducting plant surveys to assess exposure to hazards like noise, dust, fumes, and radiation.
• Ensuring compliance with Quality, Environmental, and Material Management systems, including ISO 14001 standards.
• Promoting a safety-conscious attitude, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents, and adhering to all health, safety, and environmental policies per company and legal standards.
