Job summary

Adecco's client is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Engineer to create, revise, and control manufacturing and standard work documentation. The role applies lean and six sigma tools to eliminate waste, improve quality, and create continuous flow across manufacturing.

You will perform time studies, map processes, develop setup sheets and standard work, support NPI, and collaborate with engineering, operators, and quality to ensure data accuracy and product quality.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing engineering background with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with CAM software and SolidWorks.
  • Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
  • Read and understand blueprints and GD&T (ASME Y14.5-2009).
  • Multi-tasking in manufacturing space.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Perform time studies, process mapping, and lean reviews with manufacturing staff.
  • Develop, revise, and control manufacturing documentation such as setup sheets, programs, visual aids, and standard work.
  • Act as liaison between engineering, programming, operators, and quality during NPI and process improvement projects.
  • Develop implementation plans for horizontal deployment of improved manufacturing processes and tooling.
  • Audit manufacturing documentation, machine programs and time standards to ensure data accuracy, process repeatability, and product quality.
  • Utilize software to manage Manufacturing Plans and machine programming as needed.
  • Manage program distribution and supporting documentation to the shop floor per policy.
  • Be a team player and perform other related duties as assigned.

Job description

Adecco's client is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Engineer for the creation, revision, and control of manufacturing and standard work documentation. Applying lean and six sigma tools to eliminate waste, improve quality, and create continuous flow in all areas of manufacturing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform time studies, process mapping, and lean reviews with manufacturing staff
  • Develop, revise, and control manufacturing documentation such as setup sheets, programs, visual aids, and standard work
  • Act as a liaison between engineering, programming, operators, and quality during new production introduction (NPI) and process improvement projects
  • Develop implementation plans for horizontal implementation of improved manufacturing processes, and tooling implementation
  • Works closely with operators to audit manufacturing documentation, machine programs and time standards to ensure data accuracy, process repeatability, and product quality is maintained
  • Develop ability to utilize software as necessary to facilitate the management of Manufacturing Plans and machine programming
  • Managing and maintaining program distribution and supporting documentation to the shop floor per company policy
  • Must be a team player as measured by his/her peers
  • Performs other related duties assigned
REQUIRED
  • Manufacturing engineering background and experience with strong problem-solving skills experience
  • Experienced with CAM software and Solid Works
  • Experienced lean and six sigma methodologies and tools
  • Read and understand blueprints and G.D&T. (ASME Y14.5-2009 standard)
  • Multi-tasker within the manufacturing space
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills and desire to work with the team
  • High school graduate or GED

  • Associates or bachelor's degree preferred, but not required based on experience
