Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing, Packaging, or related engineering discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, project engineering, or similar.
• Experience leading or supporting capital projects, including planning, equipment modifications, implementation, and execution.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement capabilities in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work cross-functionally, and drive improvements in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily engineering support to sustain and improve safety, food safety, quality, schedule attainment, yield, OEE, cost, and team engagement.
• Lead capital projects from development through bids, installation, documentation, forecasting, and follow-through.
• Manage equipment and process modifications for assigned production areas.
• Apply Lean, DMAIC, root-cause analysis, and other continuous improvement methods to reduce waste and improve performance.
• Own operating parameter standards, centerline processes, and production equipment design for assigned areas.
• Identify and implement equipment technologies to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Use production data and process instrumentation to identify opportunities and validate results.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives involving materials, processes, and finished products.
• Evaluate feasibility of new products and coordinate equipment/tools/resources for commercialization.
• Partner with suppliers, contractors, Operations, Quality, Maintenance to improve performance.
• Support technical training and provide engineering guidance to Operations team members.
• Contribute to long-term plant strategies and replacement plans for key assets.

Location Description

The Troy, Alabama plant produces peanut butter, with annual production of approximately 78 million pounds. The site supports a team of more than 130 manufacturing and support employees.

Responsibilities

Make a visible impact on the production floor as a Manufacturing Engineer with Post Consumer Brands in Troy, Alabama. In this role, you will partner with Operations and other cross-functional teams to strengthen safety, food safety, quality, reliability, efficiency, and cost performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will combine hands-on engineering support, capital project leadership, and continuous improvement. Your work will help modernize processes, improve equipment performance, and turn practical ideas into measurable results for the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily engineering support to sustain and improve safety, food safety, quality, schedule attainment, yield, overall equipment effectiveness, cost, and team engagement.
• Lead capital projects from project development and financial justification through contractor bids, installation, documentation, forecasting, and performance follow-through.
• Manage equipment and process modifications for assigned production areas.
• Apply Lean, DMAIC, root-cause analysis, and other continuous improvement methods to reduce waste and improve manufacturing performance.
• Own operating parameter standards, centerline processes, and production equipment design and layout for assigned areas.
• Identify and implement equipment technologies that improve reliability, efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Use production data and process instrumentation to identify opportunities, guide decisions, and validate results.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives involving production materials, manufacturing processes, and finished products.
• Evaluate the manufacturing feasibility of new products and coordinate equipment, methods, tools, and resources for successful commercialization.
• Partner with suppliers, contractors, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and other teams to improve equipment and process performance.
• Support technical training and provide engineering guidance to Operations team members.
• Contribute to long-term plant strategies and replacement plans for key production assets.

Education
