Job summary

Manufacturing Engineer in Temecula, CA, 100% onsite, 12-month contract. Shifts from 7am to 4pm; pay range $32/hr to $38/hr on W2. Supports extrusion manufacturing lines and develops processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet daily production schedules while improving productivity and quality.

Collaboration with customers and vendors is required. This position requires 3–5 years of manufacturing experience and strong problem-solving skills; extrusion experience is preferred and willingness to work

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support extrusion manufacturing lines by providing equipment and process support.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet production schedules and improve quality.
• Line support and internal/external customer and vendor interface for components.
• Perform process validation and generate manufacturing process documentation.
• Utilize Cp, Cpk, SPC, and Gage R&R to improve processes and quality.

We are looking for a “Manufacturing Engineer“ to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.

Job Responsibilities:

• 3-5 years manufacturing experience
• Strong knowledge on Problem Solving tools
• Extrusion experience – preferable
• 3 - 5 years of experience as a Process or manufacturing engineer.
• This position will support the current manufacturing processes and develop manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures in order to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality.
• Line support and international and internal customer support.
• Significant/essential duties, tasks or responsibilities which employees in this position are required to perform.
• Support the extrusion manufacturing lines by providing support to the extruder equipment and processes.
• Evaluation of production equipment Production support and process validation Interface with customers and vendors for incoming components Troubleshoot manufacturing process and equipment Utilize tools like Gage R&R, Cp, Cpk, and SPC to improve processes.
• Understand manufacturing concepts like Value Stream mapping, 5S and Visual Workplace to improve quality, labor efficiency, and throughput.
• Protocol and report writing Generate and modify manufacturing process documentation Work with cross functional teams as required Develop and implement process improvements Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
• Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
• Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned. Activities require a significant amount of sitting in front of a computer monitor, some standing and walking.
• Significant use of hands and arms, plus finger dexterity to reach, point, write, type, operate a computer and other office equipment.
