Job summary

Insight Global seeks a senior Manufacturing Engineer Level 4 to support the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) in Oklahoma City. This role leads Integrated Product Teams, coordinates with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to ensure manufacturability and production readiness for aircraft modification programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • 9+ years of manufacturing, production, aerospace, industrial, or related engineering experience.
  • Experience reviewing engineering drawings, engineering changes, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Experience developing and authoring manufacturing plans, work instructions, and production documentation.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating activities between Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain organizations.
  • Experience performing producibility assessments and manufacturing feasibility reviews.
  • Experience utilizing GOLDesp, SAP, or similar manufacturing planning and execution systems.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing, aircraft modification, and production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to develop and implement manufacturing solutions supporting aircraft modification and production activities.
  • Review engineering drawings, engineering changes, and installation packages to assess manufacturability and production impacts.
  • Develop, author, review, and approve manufacturing plans, work instructions, Drafted Work Orders (DWOs), and production documentation.
  • Perform complex producibility studies, variation analysis, and manufacturing capability assessments to ensure production readiness.
  • Refine, validate, and coordinate manufacturing concepts and build strategies supporting aircraft modification programs.
  • Evaluate engineering changes and provide recommendations regarding production feasibility, tooling requirements, schedule impacts, and installation approaches.
  • Serve as a technical focal point between Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Production organizations to resolve complex manufacturing issues.
  • Utilize GOLDesp, SAP, and other manufacturing systems to support planning, configuration management, and production execution activities.
  • Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost, efficiency, and schedule performance.
  • Support research and implementation of advanced manufacturing methods, tools, and technologies.
  • Document manufacturing best practices and lessons learned across the program.
  • Provide technical guidance, leadership, and structured mentoring to junior manufacturing engineers.
  • Support daily build plans by identifying and resolving production constraints and risks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting platforms such as B-52, KC-46, E-4B, F-15, AWACS, Wedgetail, or similar aircraft.
  • Experience with IVT, CATIA, REDARS, Teamcenter, DELMIA, MESCI, Creo, or similar manufacturing systems.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or continuous improvement experience.
  • Prior experience mentoring junior engineers or leading Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
Position Summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Level 4 to support the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) in Oklahoma City. This senior-level role will serve as a technical leader responsible for manufacturing planning, producibility analysis, aircraft modification execution, and production support activities. The selected candidate will lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), coordinate across Engineering, Operations, and Quality organizations, and ensure manufacturing solutions support program cost, quality, schedule, and technical requirements.

This position plays a critical role in supporting one of the U.S. Air Force's most significant aircraft modernization programs and will provide technical leadership throughout the engineering-to-production lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to develop and implement manufacturing solutions supporting aircraft modification and production activities.
  • Review engineering drawings, engineering changes, and installation packages to assess manufacturability and production impacts.

Seeking a senior aerospace Manufacturing Engineer with 9+ years of experience supporting aircraft production, modification, or sustainment programs. Candidates should have strong backgrounds in drawing reviews, manufacturing planning, work instruction development, engineering change implementation, producibility assessments, and cross-functional team leadership. Experience with GOLDesp/SAP, military aircraft programs, and Boeing manufacturing environments is highly preferred. This role will be heavily involved in supporting B-52 CERP aircraft modification activities and serving as a technical leader within Integrated Product Teams.

Compensation

$65/hr to $78/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
