Qualifications

  • Experience developing end-to-end manufacturing processes for assembly lines.
  • Strong knowledge of lean and CAPA methodologies in high-volume environments.
  • Ability to lead NPI transitions from engineering to production with pilot builds.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document end-to-end battery module/pack assembly processes.
  • Create work instructions, standard work, and visual aids for production staff.
  • Specify and support assembly tools, fixtures, and inspection equipment.
  • Assist with line ramp-up, initial launches, and process stabilization.
  • Support process control, in-process checks, and CAPA activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure safety and ergonomic compliance in all processes.

Role PurposeThe Manufacturing Engineeris responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes assembly operations. Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, this role ensures production processes aresafe, efficient, repeatable, and aligned with engineering intent, supporting facility launch, production ramp-up, and long-term scalability.Reporting & ScopeReports to:Director of ManufacturingWorks closely with:Production Supervisors and OperatorsProduct Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal)Product IntegrationQuality and EHSPrimary focus:Manufacturing process design, line support, and continuous improvementCore Responsibilities1. Manufacturing Process DevelopmentDevelop and documentend-to-end manufacturing processesfor:Battery module assemblyBattery pack assemblyDefine process flow, work content, and sequencing to meet:Quality requirementsThroughput and takt-time targetsSafety and ergonomic standards2. Work Instructions & Standard WorkCreate andmaintain:Detailed work instructionsVisual aids and standard work documentationEnsure instructions reflect:Engineering drawings and BOMsCurrent revisions and approved changesTrain production staffonnew or updated processes.3. Equipment, Tooling & Fixture SupportSpecify, install, and support:Assembly tools and fixturesTest and inspection equipmentMaterial handling aidsSupport commissioning and validation of production equipment.4.
