Job summary

Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Irvine, CA

Schedule: Standard

Duration: 6 Month Contract

Pay Range: $29.50–$34.50/hr

Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to apply engineering theory and principles to challenges in industrial layout and manufacturing production. This role requires the ability to produce engineering drawings and to read and interpret blueprints in support of production operations.

In this role, you will support production and manufacturing operations through process analysis, quality verification, and workflow documentation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Study time, motion, methods, and speed involved in maintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas, and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards
  • Read worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets to verify that records adhere to quality assurance specifications
  • Aid in planning work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays
  • Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong creativity, verbal and written communication skills, and analytical/problem-solving ability
  • Team player with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
  • Prior experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field, such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
