Job description

Our esteemed client has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer in a well established manufacturing environment. This is a full-time position with benefits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and document company processes and procedures required to support existing and new projects as assigned.
  • Develop and document Internal Testing processes and procedures as required.
  • Perform hands-on product builds when required.
  • Maintain records and data per corporate policies.
  • Work integrally with manufacturing and sales to assure that customers are serviced to the best of the company’s ability.
  • In an effort to allow the sales department more freedom to perform their duties – the MEAD will act as project liaison and follow-up contact for selected special Sales projects as assigned.
  • Keep the Production Control Manager apprised as to the need for work space and equipment well enough in advance for proper scheduling.
  • Have the knowledge and ability to work with and Train production personnel to assist with troubleshooting product issues as assigned.
  • Assist with initial data/information entry and maintenance of the ‘Vantage’ database implementation as it pertains to job functionality.
  • Assist with Training for the ‘Vantage’ system implementation as requested and required.
  • Keep the Technical Director appraised of all issues and or problems that may arise that could adversely affect the successful completion of assigned projects.
  • Oversee testing and perform testing on compound development and production material.
  • Material mixing work orders
  • Tabulate any test report/data sheet for customers.
  • Manage all incoming raw materials.
  • Insert storage and distribution
  • Adhesives QA and AQMD
  • Bond testing.
  • Performs other related duties as required or as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Graduate; College degree preferred in a related field; Two plus years working experience in a Elastomer production environment,

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to use all five senses, use of both hands; Capable of operating necessary testing equipment; Capable of lifting and/or manipulating heavy tools, molds, and equipment.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports directly to the Technical Director.
