Job summary

Multimatic Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Butler, Indiana to support feasibility studies, tooling purchases, and production launches. You will interact with vendors to ensure equipment meets standards and will help maintain process and quality documentation on an ongoing basis.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, tolerance understanding, GD&T, and hands-on capability in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Automotive experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience; technical degree acceptable.
  • Experience in high-volume steel processing/manufacturing is a plus.
  • Automotive field experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CAD experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Feasibility studies, estimates, quotes and tooling purchases for new/mod existing programs.
  • Direct vendors to meet equipment standards and performance.
  • Launch equipment to production floor and support ongoing production.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and quality records.

## Manufacturing EngineerApplylocations: Butler, Indianatime type: Full timeposted on: Posted 2 Days Agojob requisition id: JR103253**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Feasibility study, estimate, quote, evaluate, specify and purchase capital equipment and tooling for new programs or modifications to existing programs to budget.* Interact and direct vendors to provide equipment and tooling to our standards and performance expectations.* Launch equipment and tooling to production floor and support on-going production throughout program cycle.* Ability to develop time lines and maintain through follow up* Ability to troubleshoot through root cause analysis and provide technical support for daily plant operations.* Develop and maintain process documentation and assist with quality documentation.* Understand and perform tolerance stack ups. Solid understanding of GD &T and datum scheme.* Investigate and Implement cost reductions through process improvements.* Record lessons learned and revise system documentation to reduce reoccurrence.* Responsible for producing CAD drawings when required.* Maintains plant layout for efficient product flow within equipment* Maintain and organize drawing database – CAD and hard copies.* Works directly with skilled trades, program managers and quality engineers.* Manage and execute actions from ECN/ECR system.**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write instructions, plant operating procedures, and routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, regulatory agencies, and employees of the organization.**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
