Job summary

Hearth & Home Technologies in Halifax, PA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Stoves Business Unit. You will manage projects and drive lean improvements, balancing run rates and improving safety, quality, delivery and cost.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or related field and 1–2 years of experience; proficiency with Excel, Project, Outlook and AutoCAD, and knowledge of lean principles.

Responsibilities

  • Manage small to large scale projects to improve SQDC metrics.
  • Support lean culture through continuous improvement events.
  • Assess and eliminate safety risks in manufacturing and improve ergonomics.
  • Establish production run rates, balance standard work, and ensure smooth material flow.
  • Improve product quality by adding quality control and mistake-proofing processes.
  • Drive cost reduction through better labor efficiency, material utilization, and fewer defects.
  • Implement product changes through ECO process and support new launches.

Job description

Hearth & Home Technologies is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Stoves Business Unit in Halifax, PA.

We are a leading manufacturer and supplier of hearth products, offering gas, electric, wood and pellet burning fireplaces, inserts, stoves and accessories. Our Stoves Business Unit brings together top brands and focuses on delivering high-quality, reliable stove solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage small to large scale projects to achieve timely improvements to SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) metrics.
  • Drive the facility’s lean culture by supporting business process improvements through Continuous Improvement events.
  • Assess and eliminate safety risks in the manufacturing environment and drive improvements to ergonomics throughout the production process.
  • Establish production run rates, balance standard work, and create smooth flow of material and finished product.
  • Improve product quality by building quality control and mistake‑proofing into the manufacturing process.
  • Drive cost reduction through improved labor efficiency, improved material utilization, and reduced defect rates.
  • Implement product changes through ECO process and support new product launches.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1–2 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, primarily Excel, Project, Outlook and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
