Job summary

Creation Technologies is seeking an entry-level Engineering role focused on executing moderate to complex tasks in the creation, configuration, and optimization of manufacturing processes for CCAs and box assemblies.

You will support engineering activities under Engineering Management, gaining hands-on experience with manufacturing processes and industry standards while growing professionally in electronics manufacturing services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field with focus on electronics and manufacturing.
• New graduates or candidates with up to 4 years of engineering support experience in electronics manufacturing preferred.
• Experience interpreting wiring diagrams and drawings; knowledge of IPC standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements to assembly and test processes by managing BOM and routing.
• Prepare manufacturing process documents and work instructions for release to production.
• Support NPI and ECO processes to fit the product lifecycle.
• Monitor KPIs and analyze data to resolve production issues.
• Assist cross-functional teams to improve process efficiency and product quality.

Engineering 1 is a foundational role at Creation Technologies, focused on executing moderate to moderately complex engineering tasks required in the creation, configuration and optimization of industrial processes required to produce and/or test Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and/or box assemblies. This entry-level engineering position is crucial for those starting their career in electronics manufacturing services, providing an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting while developing first areas of subject matter expertise and learning industry standards and practices. This role supports engineering activities under the guidance of Engineering Management. It’s a role that combines hands‑on experience with professional growth, offering insights into manufacturing processes and a pathway for future advancement in the field.

• Executes MFG engineering tasks and activities under the direction of Manufacturing Engineeringmanagement.
• Ability to work with and familiar with PLM and MES systems.
• Ensures the translation of customer requirements to assembly and test processes by Managing Billof Materials (BOM), document control, and validates routing; supports New Product Introduction(NPI) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes.
• Engages in detailed manufacturing process documentation, including work instructions, as receivedfrom customer, and prepped for release to production floor.
• Create Assembly documents, Bill of Process and SMT/AOI Machine files (use of CAM350, FactoryLogix, or other MES and CAD/CAM software).
• Generate, and support the control, and distribution of manufacturing process documentationincluding Process Plans and Procurement specifications.
• Perform Design for Manufacture analysis with cross functional teams and reporting.
• Supports schedules for engineering projects, including coordinating tasks and resources for aboveschedule within the engineering team.
• Participates in cross-functional teams to support manufacturing process improvements to enhanceproduction efficiency and product quality.
• Supports the review and update of manufacturing procedures to ensure they are current andeffective.
• Provides technical support to the manufacturing team, aiding in the resolution of engineering issuesthat affect production and prevent continuous production flow.
• Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyzes data to identify and resolve systemic
• process and performance issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Required Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree (4 year) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Mechatronic, or otherrelevant discipline) or a related field with a focus on electronics and manufacturing processes or equivalentindustry or military training experience.
• New graduates or candidates with up to 4 years of engineering support experience in electronicsmanufacturing preferred.

Skills Required

• Ability to interpret a variety of technical documents such as wiring diagrams and drawings effectively.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards such as ISO9001/13485 or AS9100.
• Understanding of the concepts of New Product Introduction and how to execute projects includingsupporting functions.
• Understands and can execute Design for Assembly and Test tasks as required.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Capacity to learn and apply new skills in a dynamic manufacturing services environment.
• Awareness of IPC standards, Lean principles, six sigma and industrial ergonomics preferred.
• Proficient in using Computer systems and knowledge of CAD/CAM and programming preferred.Engineering project management and project leadership skills an asset.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $78,000-$100,000 USD per year.

• Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits.
