• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that engineering changes are effectively integrated into manufacturing processes.
• Contribute to the optimization of layout, workflow, and resource utilization to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Essential Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering (ME) or industrial engineering (IE) in a production environment.
• Hands‑on experience providing shop floor support for manufacturing operations.
• Proven experience with capital equipment installation and integration into existing production lines.
• Demonstrated ability to support new product introduction (NPI) from engineering through to production.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, methods, and best practices.
• Ability to analyze production data and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (preferred).
• Experience supporting both new builds and ongoing production in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience in continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities between different production teams.

Work Environment This role is based in a production and shop floor environment where you work closely with manufacturing teams and equipment on a daily basis. The position involves active participation in capital installations, NPI builds, and ongoing support of existing production lines. You can expect a collaborative atmosphere with cross‑functional interaction, a focus on process improvement, and hands‑on engagement with manufacturing processes and machinery.

This is a Contract position based out of Chillicothe, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
