Qualifications

• Minimum of a 2 year associate's degree is required; a 4 year bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ideal candidate should have some experience design and/or troubleshooting automated or semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with pneumatics, solenoids, and some PLC programming is highly beneficial.
• Experience creating and maintaining 2D part/assembly drawings with an understanding of drawing and tolerancing standards.
• SolidWorks 3D modeling experience is a plus; used in fixtures, gauges and equipment design.
• Must be able to operate electrical hand tools and general hand tools; Lathe or Mill experience preferred; CNC experience a plus.
• Experience working in a clean environment is a plus.

Position Summary:

This person will work to improve production quality & throughput; while also troubleshooting current manufacturing equipment in use. Position will require working closely with design engineers to transfer new products and product improvements into manufacturing. This person is also responsible for optimizing current and new manufacturing processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Essential Job Functions

Knowledge of modern business communication, office procedures and methods. Skills to use a personal computer and various software packages such as Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and facilitate teamwork.

Equipment Used

Telephones, computer, other office equipment as needed, electrical and general hand tools, CNC machinery, Lathe or Mill Machine operation.
