Job Description

This Manufacturing Engineer role focuses on designing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to meet evolving business needs. You will lead process layout design, drive capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety across an assigned value stream. The position offers the opportunity to apply lean manufacturing principles, data-driven analysis, and hands-on engineering skills within a growing industrial sector.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain manufacturing processes that meet current and future business needs across the assigned value stream.
• Develop and optimize process layouts to improve flow, reduce waste, and increase overall efficiency.
• Lead and execute CapEx projects from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with operational and business objectives.
• Apply project management skills to plan, coordinate, and track project activities, timelines, and deliverables.
• Participate actively in workshops focused on process improvement and operational excellence.
• Conduct cycle time analysis, including monthly analysis of value stream cycle times, to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Perform takt time analysis to align production rates with customer demand and support balanced workflow.
• Carry out capacity analysis to ensure resources and equipment can meet current and projected production requirements.
• Collaborate with the Quality team to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions that eliminate or reduce defects.
• Support all EHS-related risks and concerns within the assigned value stream, contributing to the reduction and elimination of EHS risks.
• Conduct time studies to understand task durations, standardize work, and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and update work instructions that clearly define standardized processes and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and process improvement methodologies.
• Use statistical analysis to evaluate process performance, monitor variation, and support data-driven decision making.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of experience in process engineering or a closely related role involving process design and optimization.
• Demonstrated experience in process improvement within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing principles and tools.
• Proficiency in conducting statistical analysis to evaluate and improve process performance.
• Strong root cause analysis skills, including the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve process and quality issues.
• Experience performing time studies to support standard work and productivity improvements.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD tools for process layout and design.
• Ability to create clear and effective work instructions for manufacturing processes.
• Project management skills, including planning, organizing, and executing projects such as CapEx initiatives.
• Experience as a Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven ability to create process efficiencies and drive measurable improvements in productivity and quality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience participating in cross-functional workshops focused on cycle time, takt time, and capacity analysis.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and frameworks.
• Comfort working with value stream concepts and analyzing end-to-end process performance.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable improvements.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with quality, EHS, and operations teams.
• Interest in contributing to a strong and growing industry with long-term career potential.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $40.86/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
