Job summary

A leading manufacturer in automotive technologies located in Bellows Falls, Vermont, is seeking a qualified individual to support new product development and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and experience with CNC programming and Lean methodologies. Responsibilities include analyzing data to enhance manufacturing operations and collaborating with design engineers to optimize product designs. Competitive salary range of $81,200 - $121,800 is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in CNC programming with knowledge of G & M codes.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities
  • Supports new product and process development, manufacturing operations, quality and continuous improvement projects.
  • Analyzes data, interprets trends and initiates improvement solutions on key performance metrics.
  • Creates/supplies production routings, bills of materials, work instructions and processing prints to all applicable work cells, and departments.
  • Assists/advises Design Engineers as to the best possible design for manufacturability to ensure product Quality and most effective manufacturing methods to keep costs down.
  • Designs, identifies and implements new equipment, tooling and work holding devices into the manufacturing process.
  • Stays apprised of new technologies to improve efficiency and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education And/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other similar technical degree.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with CNC programming, knowledge of G & M codes desired.
  • Experience automation integration and robot programming desired.
  • Demonstrated process knowledge of machining processes and inspection techniques.
  • Proficient in Solid Works, MS Office suite.
  • Ability to learn and use a computer-based ERP program.
  • Knowledge of GD & T is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems ISO9001 preferred.
  • Knowledge of automotive drivetrain technology is desired but not required.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills, attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
Physical Demands

Ability to work in and around a manufacturing environment and have no restrictions on wearing safety footwear and protective eyewear.

Pay Range

81,200.00 - 121,800.00
