Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation in Baraboo, WI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Tech Services team. You will develop, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, 2+ years of related experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Word and Excel. You will collaborate with plant personnel, vendors, and management to drive projects to completion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 24 months of related engineering experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
  • Statistical calculations, strength/load, and geometrical calculations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for process and operational improvements.
  • Maintain high standards of manufacturing and product quality.
  • Design and implement new products, processes, and manufacturing methods.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable regulatory and company standards.
  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing efficiencies by analyzing workflow, space requirements, production speed, and equipment layout.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes by reviewing product requirements, researching testing methods, and working with vendors and suppliers.
  • Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations, and network performance.
  • Plan, execute, and complete new projects while meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Complete design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance programs in coordination with Plant Management.
  • Provide technical oversight related to equipment, process troubleshooting, quality issues, maintenance, and project management.
  • Collaborate with plant personnel, technicians, vendors, and management to resolve issues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Education Requirements
  • Minimum degree required (if any): Bachelor's degree inManufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Required Certifications/Licenses
  • None required.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 24 months of related engineering experience required.
