Job summary

ProRecruiters is seeking a Manufacturing Drafting Designer to join a growing team in Collinsville, OK. The role involves creating 2D drawings and 3D models using Autodesk Inventor for fabrication, assembly and installation, interpreting designs, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years drafting experience in manufacturing environments and an associate's degree in Drafting or Design Technology (or equivalent).

Qualifications

• 2–5 years drafting experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Associate’s degree in Drafting or Design Technology; or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Plant 3D.
• Experience with pressure vessels, piping, ducting, steel or industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using Autodesk Inventor for fabrication, assembly, and installation.
• Interpret engineering designs, specs and job requirements to develop accurate drawings.
• Prepare and revise drawings for pressure vessels, power piping, ducting, structural steel, and related components.
• Apply dimensions, tolerances, and material specs based on engineering input and standards.
• Ensure drawings are checked for accuracy, completeness and compliance with project requirements.
• Incorporate redlines and engineering changes into updated drawing revisions.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Fabrication, Purchasing, Sales to clarify drawing requirements and resolve discrepancies.
• Support release of drawings and documentation to fabrication and other departments to meet project schedules.
• Assist in layout and design for new equipment and modifications.
