About this position

Description:

DEFINITION

The Citterio USA Manufacturing Data Analyst will be meticulous and detail oriented. The primary responsibility of this role is to review and analyze production data and manage inventory within our ERP system, specifically in SAP. This position requires critical thinking skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to interpret complex data to drive operational efficiency and decision-making.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

NOTE: An employee assigned to this title shall perform a majority, but may not perform all, of the duties listed in this job description. Conversely, minor level duties performed on the job may not be listed.

  • Support production by monitoring order data integrity and accuracy.
  • Enter and audit production orders to ensure data reliability.
  • Verify labor and material costs are being properly tracked.
  • Ensure accuracy of production consumptions, yields, and efficiency.
  • Investigate discrepancies and variances, which may involve time spent on the production floor communicating with manufacturing personnel.
  • Analyze production data and make adjustments as needed.
  • Make educated assumptions based on historical production data.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through system management. Collaborate with procurement and production teams to manage inventory levels, forecast needs, and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy within SAP system.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify discrepancies, trends, and optimization opportunities. Analyze production data and adjust, as necessary. Make educated assumptions based off historical production data.
  • Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts as required.
  • Monitor scrap levels and conduct production variance analysis.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all SAP-related activities.
  • Monitor changes in processes or methods and adjust data inputs to maintain accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve open issues related to production and inventory management and coordinate timely resolutions.
  • Generate and interpret reports on production performance, efficiency, and quality metrics.
  • Provide insights and recommendation based on data analysis to support manufacturing decision-making.
  • Work closely with various departments: production, procurement, quality control, and finance teams to ensure alignment and data validity.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of ERP systems. Familiarity with SAP is beneficial.
  • Experience as a Manufacturing Data Analyst with a focus on production and inventory modules. *Strong understanding of consumption-based planning principles.
  • Knowledge of computers and computer software, with ability to apply this aptitude in word processing, Excel spreadsheet development, and Word document merges, and keyboarding skills.
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Thorough knowledge of proper records management, retention of records and cataloguing of files.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to envision and deliver innovative solutions.
  • High energy level, ability to multitask, establish priorities, work independently.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Completion of a high school, or general equivalency diploma; and,
  • Experience with ERP system management; and,
  • Experience in Food Manufacturing experience preferred: and,
  • Strong knowledge of meat processing techniques and equipment; and,
  • Exceptional understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations; and,
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Employees are required to wear proper food safe, steel toe shoes, hair net and beard net, nitrile gloves, frock, bump cap, hat, and proper hearing protection while working in certain areas.
