Lutz in Lincoln, NE is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join its growing manufacturing finance team. You will analyze costs across materials, labor, overhead, and production expenses, support standard costing, and help drive profitability improvements.

You will collaborate with leadership during an SAP S/4HANA transition, assist with month-end close and budgeting, and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls across multiple plants.

Formación

• Cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• HHands-on SAP S/4HANA experience is required.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.
• Experience with account reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with accounting and operations teams.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, overhead, and production expenses.
• Monitor cost variances, identify inefficiencies, and recommend opportunities for improved profitability.
• Develop and maintain standard costing processes and provide financial analysis to support operational decisions.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, profitability analysis, and financial summaries for management.
• Oversee inventory reconciliations, assist with physical inventory counts, and evaluate inventory discrepancies.
• Partner with manufacturing leadership to evaluate production costs, margins, and operational performance.
• Play an active role in the organization's transition to SAP S/4HANA, including process improvements, data migration, and system support.
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Collaborate with accounting and operational teams to strengthen financial reporting and internal controls.
