Celerity Staffing is seeking a Cost Accountant/Accountant to support general ledger maintenance, cost analysis, and reporting. The role emphasizes manufacturing cost accuracy and close processes, with collaboration across operations, purchasing, and management.

The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years in cost or manufacturing accounting, a solid understanding of GAAP, and strong analytical skills. This position is based in Wisconsin and follows a Monday–Friday schedule with normal business hours.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years of cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, or related experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and explain variances.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in cross‑functional settings.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with monthly and annual closing activities, with emphasis on manufacturing costs.
• Prepare financial reports and cost analysis summaries for management.
• Support budget preparation, forecasting, and analysis of actual results against projections.
• Monitor production, labor, material, and overhead expenses.
• Investigate cost variances and identify drivers of cost fluctuations.
• Maintain standard costs and evaluate differences between expected and actual expenses.
• Identify spending trends and opportunities for cost control.
• Assist with internal reviews and external audits with supporting documentation.
