Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Corporate Controller for a hybrid role in Mercer County, PA. You will lead the finance team, own the general ledger and close processes, and partner with PE sponsors on financial strategy and reporting.

The ideal candidate has extensive manufacturing cost accounting experience, strong GAAP expertise, and a hands-on leadership style to drive improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Controller-level experience
• 1 year in a Controller role
• 7+ years of accounting and finance experience
• 6+ years of manufacturing industry experience
• Experience with operations leadership
• Experience in a private equity-backed environment
• Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, GL, internal controls
• Month-end and year-end close, AR/AP, audits, budgeting and cash flow forecasting
• Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
• Identify Process gaps and improvements
• Hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting and finance function and manage the Finance Department and team
• Own the general ledger, month-end/year-end close, financial reporting and reconciliations
• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting and COGS analysis
• Manage inventory valuation and reconciliation across materials, WIP, finished goods
• Develop and maintain internal controls, policies and procedures
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning and variance analysis
• Present financial reporting to CEO, PE sponsors, lenders and senior leadership
• Manage bank covenant compliance and lender reporting
• Oversee multi-entity accounting, consolidations and intercompany reconciliations
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll oversight
• Partner with operations and sales on margin analysis, labor costs and profitability
• Ensure ASC 606 revenue recognition compliance
• Maintain tax compliance across jurisdictions
• Serve as finance contact for auditors, advisors and lenders
• Develop dashboards and KPIs for production, shipments, labor and margins
• Evaluate capital expenditures and vendor financing
• Support due diligence and post‑acquisition integration
• Support ERP optimization and implementation
• Build and improve financial processes for growth and acquisitions
