Responsibilities

• Manage plant cost accounting activities including standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and performance reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes for the facility.
• Partner with operations leadership to improve financial performance and control costs.
• Provide financial analysis related to capital projects, audits, inventory management, and operational initiatives.
• Develop KPI dashboards and reporting packages with actionable insights on plant performance and cost trends.
• Support inventory control processes: cycle counts, physical inventory, reconciliations, audit prep.

You'll partner closely with plant and operations leadership to drive profitability, enhance processes, and ensure accurate financial reporting, inventory management, and internal controls.

Description

Manufacturing Controller Responsibilities:

• Manage plant cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and manufacturing performance reporting.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes for the facility.
• Partner with operations leadership to improve financial performance, control costs, and support strategic decision-making.
• Provide financial analysis related to capital projects, audits, inventory management, and operational initiatives.
• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and financial reporting packages, delivering actionable insights on plant performance, cost trends, and operational efficiencies.
• Support inventory control processes, including cycle counts, physical inventory procedures, reconciliations, and audit preparation to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Cost Accounting experience required
• Experience within food manufacturing or consumer products is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools; ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
• Advanced Excel and analytical capabilities, with experience developing financial models, reporting tools, and performance metrics.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights for operations, production, and leadership teams.
