Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Engineering Technician in Youngstown, OH to provide hands-on engineering support in a high-volume roll forming and value-added manufacturing setting. You will troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and mechanical components, working closely with Process Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Quality, Tooling, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and electrical systems.
• Hands-on industrial maintenance or engineering technician background.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics in a roll forming environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production equipment involving PLCs, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and mechanical components.
• Partner with maintenance personnel to diagnose and resolve complex equipment failures.
• Support production teams in reducing downtime and improving overall equipment effectiveness.
• Analyze recurring equipment and process issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Participate in root cause investigations and implement permanent solutions.
• Assist with process validation, SOPs, and tooling trials as needed.
• Support onboarding and launch of new products into production.
• Promote a safe work environment and follow safety policies.
