Job description

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate mills, lathes, punch press, spot weld, bench, and EDM machines.
  • Work with materials including castings and forgings.
  • Perform machine set up: changing chuck jaws, tool holders, fixtures, boring bars, drills, reamers, and setting tools.
  • Follow Lean Manufacturing guidelines: one‑piece flow, standard work, 6S, set‑up reduction, and wet process lines.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards; clean chips and keep coolant/machine fluids off the shop floor.
  • Make decisions based on experience and available data.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma / GED.
  • Graduate of a vocational high school or equivalent accredited manufacturing program.
  • Minimum of 6 months machining experience with lathes and/or mills, punch press, bench or spot weld machines, and EDM machines.
  • Demonstrated experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical aptitude.

This role is open for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities.

Eligibility
  • Ability to lift, move and manipulate fixtures and component hardware up to 25 lbs. with or without accommodations.
Desired Characteristics
  • Ability to verify and inspect own work using micrometers, plug gauges, height gauge, and surface plates.
  • Ability to run manual equipment concurrently as required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cellular, team‑oriented environment.
  • Work under general direction with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent attendance history.
  • Produce error‑free products.
  • Accurately complete job‑related paperwork.
  • Experience with machining high‑temperature material (Inconel, stainless, titanium, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and a teaming environment.
  • Experience machining to aerospace standards and specifications.
  • Follow written instruction precisely (MOS, routers, engineering drawings).
  • Operate multiple machines.
  • Optical Comparator experience.
Compensation

Base pay: $23.50 per hour. Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of base salary.
