Job summary

Award Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing Associate in Lester Prairie, MN. This temp-to-hire role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and operating basic shop tools on a 1st shift schedule (Mon-Thu 6:00 AM–4:30 PM) with overtime on Fridays.

Ideal candidates have a year in manufacturing, good communication, and teamwork. forklift operation is a plus; tape measure reading is required. Benefits and a path to permanent placement may be available.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively for 8-10 hours a day.
• Frequent standing/walking/stooping/turning while carrying materials.
• 1 year working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure required.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to operate a computer is a plus.
• Must be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Assemble Trusses and Gables using hammer and tape measure.
• Operate Radial Arm Saw.
• Manually stack wood as it comes off the machine.
• Assist with finger joiner-tape measure and stack.
• Properly package and handle incoming/outgoing orders.
• Perform daily cycle counts of various types of inventory.
• Track past due backorders verses incoming material.
• Unload material and handle material from truck with forklift as needed and required.
• Work in other areas of the plant as business allows.
• Keep area clean.
• Other duties as assigned.
