Job summary

CRH, Oldcastle, a leading provider of outdoor living and infrastructure solutions, seeks assistants for production and maintenance roles in Tacoma, WA. The position involves supporting machine operators, performing cleanup, load/unload tasks, and various yard duties on 10–12 hour shifts.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs (100 lbs with help). English/Spanish bilinguals are preferred. Competitive benefits apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist designated operator or production team with tasks including maintenance, cleanup, yard work, and material handling.
• Operate machinery or equipment such as hoppers, bagging and sealer machines, forklift, palletizers, hydraulic equipment, or powered vehicles.
• Clean and maintain machinery, conveyors and work area during downtime.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Responsible for assisting designated machine operator or production team in a variety of functions including, but not limited to, maintenance, clean-up, yard work, warehouse, production, utilities, material handling, etc.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle assignments in a repetitive and/or sequential order for completing tasks assigned
• Operate machinery or equipment such as hoppers, bagging and sealer machines, forklift, palletizers, hydraulic equipment, powered tractors, or vehicles
• Clean-up machinery and conveyors, maintain the surrounding area, and keep equipment free of debris during downtime
• Assist in the loading/unloading of trucks
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• High school diploma/equivalent, or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members
• Knowledge of basic math and measurementsMust have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. from ground level, occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance, if needed
• Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred

Compensation

• The hourly pay rate is $20 - $25
• Schedule: 10-12 hour shifts M-F
• Vacation hours of two weeks per year
