Job summary

Emulate, Inc. is hiring a Manufacturing Associate in Boston, MA to support assembly, testing, and production of our Organ-on-a-Chip products.

This hands-on role requires meticulous attention to detail, working with small components and tools, and strict adherence to established manufacturing and quality procedures. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to assemble, test, and troubleshoot products, maintain accurate documentation, and support day-to-day manufacturing

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle small components.
• Ability to follow manufacturing and quality procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• GMP experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical field is a plus.

Location:

Boston, MA

Schedule:

Full-time, onsite Monday through Friday, generally 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required based on production demand.

Compensation:

$29/hour

Position Summary:

Emulate is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to support the assembly, testing, and production of our products. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong attention to detail, comfort working with small components and tools, and the ability to consistently follow established manufacturing and quality procedures.

The Manufacturing Associate will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to assemble and test products, identify and troubleshoot defects, maintain accurate production documentation, and support the day‑to‑day needs of the manufacturing and logistics team.
This position reports to the Senior Director of Manufacturing and Logistics.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform manufacturing assembly according to engineering drawings, specifications, and established procedures.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and use them to guide product assembly and manufacturing activities.
• Conduct quality testing and inspections to verify that products meet established quality and performance standards.
• Work with small components and tools requiring accuracy, dexterity, and close attention to detail.
• Identify defects, discrepancies, or other issues during assembly and testing and work with appropriate team members to resolve them.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to troubleshoot issues and support manufacturing process improvements.
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation related to assembly, testing, quality, and production activities.
• Assist with inventory management, including monitoring manufacturing supplies and supporting the ordering of parts and materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide additional support across Manufacturing and Logistics as needed.
• Work occasional overtime when necessary to meet production demand.

What We’re Looking For:

• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, production, quality, or a related environment preferred.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to work accurately with small components.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality work.
• Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and other teams.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage changing priorities in a production environment.
• GMP experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; a degree in engineering or another technical field is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform work requiring frequent manipulation of small parts and components.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $29/hour
• Annual Bonus: Performance-based bonus opportunity, up to 20% of base

Work Authorization & Location:

This position is based on site in Boston, MA. Candidates must currently reside in the greater Boston area and be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. Emulate is not able to provide visa sponsorship or relocation assistance for this role.
