The position is full-time, 1st shift, 40 hours per week, with hours 6am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday. Prior assembly and soldering experience is preferred, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year in manufacturing/production environment.
  • 1+ year assembling small parts in manufacturing (electronics/mechanical) preferred.
  • 1+ year soldering experience.
  • Experience with adhesives, epoxies, or bonding materials.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble small electrical and mechanical components using hand tools and work instructions.
  • Perform detail paint touch-up to correct cosmetic defects and ensure visual quality.
  • Prepare parts for final inspection by removing masking materials.
  • Visually inspect surface quality, color consistency and workmanship.
  • Perform light soldering on small components.
  • Read and follow blueprints and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
  • Assist with any additional duties as assigned by management.

Position Overview:

Dayton-Granger, Inc. (DG) is a third-generation, family-owned aerospace manufacturer that has specialized in the design, testing, and production of antennas, lightning protection systems, and electrostatic components for commercial and military aircraft worldwide since 1943 (over 83 years!). We’re immediately hiring Manufacturing Assemblers to join our team full-time. This is a hands‑on manufacturing role focused on the assembly and soldering of small electrical and mechanical components, along with detailed cosmetic paint touch-up to ensure finished parts meet our quality standards.

You’ll work with small, detailed components performing assembly, light soldering, adhesive bonding, and precision paint touch-up to correct minor surface imperfections prior to final inspection. This is a great fit for someone with previous manufacturing assembly experience who is comfortable working with small parts, has strong hand‑eye coordination, and takes pride in clean, precise workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble small electrical and mechanical components using hand tools and work instructions
  • Perform detailed paint touch-up to correct minor cosmetic defects and ensure parts meet visual quality standards
  • Remove masking materials and prepare parts for final inspection
  • Visually inspect parts for surface quality, color consistency, and overall workmanship
  • Perform light soldering on small, detailed components
  • Mix, apply, and cure epoxies and adhesives using taping, fixturing, and oven processes
  • Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety and quality procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
  • Comply with all DG safety procedures and policies as directed by the Facility Engineer/Safety Director
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Minimum 1 year of experience assembling small parts in a manufacturing setting (electronics or mechanical assembly preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year of soldering experience
  • Experience using hand tools and working with small, detailed components
  • Experience working with adhesives, epoxies, or bonding materials
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and work instructions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong hand‑eye coordination and fine motor skills
  • High attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred but not required:
  • Experience performing fine paint touch-up or cosmetic surface correction on parts (highly preferred)
  • Background in aerospace or electronic component manufacturing
