Location: Angleton, Texas

Are You the Go-To Person for Solving Problems on the Production Floor?

Do you have hands-on CNC machine experience, strong mechanical knowledge, and a talent for troubleshooting equipment? Are you someone who enjoys working with machinery, figuring out how things work, and finding solutions when things go wrong?

MMT is looking for a skilled, mechanically inclined Manufacturing Application Technician to join our team in Angleton, Texas!

This isn't your typical production position. We're looking for someone who brings technical knowledge, CNC machining experience, and strong problem-solving skills to the manufacturing floor.

In this role, you'll work across multiple departments, operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, support production, and collaborate with Engineering to improve processes and solve technical challenges.

If you're the person others turn to when a machine isn't running properly or a manufacturing process needs improvement, we want to hear from you!

What Makes This Role Different?

As a Manufacturing Application Technician, no two days will necessarily look the same.

You'll work across multiple manufacturing areas, including Contract Manufacturing, Machine Shop, Sharpening, and Quality. Depending on business needs, you might be operating CNC equipment, troubleshooting a mechanical issue, assisting with machine repairs, or helping Engineering improve a manufacturing process. You'll be both a hands-on manufacturing professional and a technical resource for the team.

What You'll Be Doing
  • CNC Machine Operation: Operate CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment, perform basic setups and adjustments, and support daily production requirements.
  • Mechanical Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and help resolve mechanical, tooling, and equipment-related issues to minimize downtime.
  • Hands-On Technical Support: Assist Engineering and Production teams with equipment repairs, machine adjustments, corrective actions, and maintenance.
  • Machine Setup & Changeovers: Support equipment setups, tooling changes, machine adjustments, and process verification.
  • Manufacturing Operations: Work across Contract Manufacturing, Machine Shop, Sharpening, and Quality departments based on daily production priorities.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in developing, testing, and implementing new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
  • Tooling & Equipment Improvements: Assist with fabricating, modifying, and improving tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Quality & Precision: Use precision measuring instruments to inspect components, monitor quality, and ensure products meet specifications.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate production and equipment issues and support corrective and preventive actions.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Assist with routine equipment maintenance and upkeep to maintain safe and reliable operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, equipment performance, and manufacturing costs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to solve problems and support production goals.
  • Training & Support: Assist coworkers with equipment operation, troubleshooting, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate production, maintenance, and process records.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone with strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on CNC experience, and the flexibility to support different manufacturing operations.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Hands-on CNC machine experience, including operating CNC equipment and understanding machine functions, basic setups, and adjustments.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude, with an understanding of how manufacturing machinery, mechanical components, tooling, and equipment operate.
  • Experience identifying and troubleshooting mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, machining, or a related technical production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.
  • Ability to use hand tools and perform basic mechanical adjustments and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple departments and adapt to changing production priorities.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use manufacturing software systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in CNC machining, manufacturing, equipment maintenance, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with CNC machine setups, tooling changes, offsets, and troubleshooting.
