Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Analyst 1 for a contract opportunity in Palmdale, CA. The role involves supporting production planning, tooling validation, and process improvements within a team-based manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will track costs, manage EVM activities, and liaise with Production, Manufacturing, and Engineering to execute schedules. Strong communication, detail orientation, and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years experience OR Master's Degree with 1 year experience OR 7 years relevant experience to substitute.
• Ability to work any shift.
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Suite capabilities (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Must be highly detail oriented, organized, proactive, and a skilled communicator.
• High School Diploma/GED is required; accredited schooling.

Responsibilities

• Support production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment.
• Participate in production planning, control, quality, systems, and facilities engineering.
• Facilitate self-directed work teams and train peers as needed.
• Support Palmdale F-35 Assembly Tooling organization and collaborate across disciplines.
• Track daily costs, administer earned value management activities, and report status weekly/monthly.
• Close and document tool orders, verify incoming materials against BOM, and develop tooling packages.
• Coordinate with Production, Manufacturing, and Industrial Engineering to negotiate schedules.
• Record chemical usage, manage Chemical Tracking inventory, and oversee tool control and asset tasks.
