Skyline Search Partners is partnering with a growing, family-owned precision manufacturing company in the Northwest Metro to hire a Manufacturing Accountant. You will work directly with the company's CFO and gain exposure across accounting, inventory, costing, operations and financial reporting.

The role starts with day-to-day accounting functions and offers growth toward more sophisticated responsibilities over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred, although relevant experience will also be considered.
• 3+ years of accounting experience preferred, with strong manufacturing accounting exposure.
• Experience with AP/AR and inventory costing within an ERP environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day AP and AR activities and create customer invoices.
• Process vendor payments, assist with collections and monitor payments.
• Support inventory accounting across raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
• Assist with manufacturing costing including labor and overhead.
• Reconcile inventory and assist month-end close and reports.
• Collaborate with production/operations to resolve issues and drive improvements.

Skyline Search Partners is partnering with a growing, family-owned precision manufacturing company in the Northwest Metro to hire a Manufacturing Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a hands-on manufacturing environment and wants more than a narrowly defined accounting role. You'll work directly with the company's CFO and gain exposure across accounting, inventory, costing, operations and financial reporting. The company is experiencing significant growth and serves highly technical customers across the aerospace, defense and nuclear industries. They have a stable, long-tenured team, a clean and highly organized manufacturing environment, and a strong reputation for quality and precision. The person hired will initially take ownership of several day-to-day accounting functions, with the opportunity to assume increasingly sophisticated responsibilities and potentially develop toward a Senior Accountant or Controller-level role over time.

About the Role

The Manufacturing Accountant will work directly with the company's CFO and gain exposure across accounting, inventory, costing, operations and financial reporting, initially taking ownership of several day-to-day accounting functions with the opportunity to assume increasingly sophisticated responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
• Create customer invoices and post incoming payments
• Process vendor payments and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Assist with customer collections and payment questions
• Support inventory accounting across raw materials, WIP and finished goods
• Assist with manufacturing costing, including labor and overhead
• Reconcile inventory and investigate accounting or operational discrepancies
• Support month-end close and financial reporting activities
• Work directly with production and operations employees to research and resolve issues
• Review detailed customer documentation and shipment records for accuracy
• Assist with process improvements and future accounting/ERP automation initiatives
• Take on additional accounting, payroll, benefits or administrative responsibilities based on experience and interest

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred, although relevant experience will also be considered

Required Skills

• 3+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred
• Experience with AP, AR and general accounting functions
• Exposure to inventory, WIP, manufacturing costing or cost accounting is highly desirable
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems; manufacturing ERP experience is a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working directly with both accounting and manufacturing/operations teams
• Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities with limited oversight
• Comfortable working in a smaller-company environment where employees wear multiple hats
• Must meet U.S. Person requirements due to the company's work with controlled defense-related technical information

Preferred Skills

• Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred
• Exposure to inventory, WIP, manufacturing costing or cost accounting is highly desirable
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems; manufacturing ERP experience is a plus

Pay range and compensation package

• $65,000–$85,000 annually, depending on experience
• This is a full-time, on-site position.
