Job summary

Advanced Systems Design, Inc. is seeking a Manual Tester (Salesforce) for a work-from-home opportunity on federal health IT projects. You will ensure secure, reliable software through comprehensive manual testing across Salesforce modules, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality releases.

The role requires strong experience in test design, defect tracking, and Agile/Scrum practices, plus ability to obtain government credentials such as a PIV where applicable.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software quality assurance or testing experience.
• Experience creating test cases and executing functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with defect tracking, test evidence, requirements traceability, and Agile delivery.
• Salesforce platform knowledge, including data model, security, automation, integrations, and release practices.
• Proven experience working in fast-paced Agile/Scrum delivery team.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required government credentials, including a PIV where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business requirements, user stories, and technical designs to create and execute comprehensive, manual test strategies, plans, cases, scripts, and traceability for functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Perform thorough functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing across the application.
• Validate requirements and acceptance criteria across supported applications, interfaces, data, roles, and workflows.
• Record, triage, retest, and close defects with clear evidence, severity, impact, and reproducible steps.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects; providing clear defect reports and assisting developers in root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to improve quality throughout the SDLC.
• Report test progress, risks, coverage, and release readiness using objective evidence.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives and others.

Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Manual Tester (Salesforce) for our client.

This is a work-from-home opportunity.

The Challenge

• The CARMA Enhancements team supports mission-critical capabilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs within the Patient Care product line. As a Manual Tester (Salesforce), you will help deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions across the full software lifecycle. You will work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate mission needs into measurable outcomes, manage technical and delivery risks, and support high-quality releases. The work supports CARMA enhancements and requires practical Salesforce knowledge

Key Responsibilities

Nice If You Have

• Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs, federal health IT, or other regulated healthcare programs.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Microsoft 365, and collaborative Agile delivery tools.
• Basic knowledge of API testing tools (Postman) or SOQL querying is a strong plus.
• Salesforce certification such as Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer, or Application Architect.
