Job summary

FLANDERS Inc. in Longview, TX is seeking a Manual Machinist I/II/III to join our precision manufacturing team. You will set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and related equipment to fabricate, repair, and modify component parts.

Position level and responsibilities will be based on experience, skills, and demonstrated proficiency. Travel may be required. Education: high school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship is preferred.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
• Basic math skills; trigionometry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machine tools including engine lathes, vertical mills, horizontal mills, and horizontal boring mills.
• Perform machining operations such as drilling, tapping, boring, broaching, milling, and turning.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances with precision measuring equipment.
• Record measurements and machining data as required.
• Select tooling, materials, and machining methods.
• Utilize hand and power tools including saws, grinders, sanders, and files.
• Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
