Job summary

TERREPOWER (formerly BBB Industries) is seeking a manual machinist to perform remanufacturing of hydraulic components. You will machine parts per work instructions and verify tolerances with precision measuring tools.

The role requires reading service manuals, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a manufacturing shop with potential extended hours during busy periods. Team collaboration and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to use basic measuring tools (Micrometer, calipers and indicators).
• Ability to apply common sense to follow written, oral and diagram instructions.
• Minimum of 2 years machine shop experience (not required).
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Position Summary:

• Ability to use work instructions to machine parts.

• Works in one family of machines. Examples Lathes and Mills, Lapping, Cam ring grinding.
• Perform Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

• Ability to use basic measuring tools (Micrometer, calipers and indicators)
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form
• Minimum of 2 years machine shop experience but not required
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be detailed oriented
• Follow all safety and workplace procedures
• Problem solving
• Report any problems that arise to the lead or supervisor
• Capable of performing multiple tasks with a focus towards completing each assignment in a timely, accurate manner that meets established guidelines
• Ability to read & understand service parts manuals
• Organizational skills with excellent housekeeping habits
• Proven experience working in a team environment
• Available to work extended hours during the week and weekend as needed
• Ability to effectively communicate with others to express departmental needs and any required follow ups

Personal Protective Equipment

• Safety Glasses and steel/safety toed work boots are required.
• Other PPE equipment as required.
• Ear plugs in the clean up area

Work Environment

• Manufacturing plant shop environment
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Exposure to elements such as odor, hydraulic fluids, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.
