Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of manual machining equipment to produce high-quality parts while ensuring all work is completed accurately and within specification.
  • Operate manual mills, manual lathes, and drill presses.
  • Set up and operate manual machining equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and machining specifications.
  • Measure and inspect parts to ensure they meet required tolerances.
  • Make adjustments throughout the machining process as needed.
  • Work with various shop equipment and hand tools.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Produce quality parts while meeting production requirements.

Opti Staffing is Hiring! Position: Manual Machinist Location: Northeast Portland, OR Pay: $25-$30/hr Schedule: 7-3:30PM

What You’ll Do
  • Operate a variety of manual machining equipment to produce high-quality parts while ensuring all work is completed accurately and within specification.

What You Need to Have
The Musts
  • 3+ years of manual machining experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with manual mills and manual lathes.
  • Experience operating drill presses and other shop equipment.
  • Strong understanding of machining tolerances.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred
  • Excellent overall manual machining knowledge.
  • Experience independently setting up manual machines.
  • Experience with a variety of shop equipment and tooling.
  • Strong measuring and inspection skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
