Specialized Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist for a local client in Paulina, Louisiana. The role focuses on operating manual machines in a job-shop environment, producing precision components to tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Previous Manual Machinist experience required.
• Experience in a job-shop environment preferred.
• Experience machining to tight tolerances (bearing housings, shafts, etc.).
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, and boring mills to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work orders.
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, dial indicators, depth gauges and calipers.
• Perform machining for fabrication and repair of rotating equipment and components.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
• Select tooling and machining methods for various applications.
• Perform equipment inspections and basic machine maintenance.

We are currently seeking an experienced Manual Machinist with a strong background operating manual machine tools in a job-shop environment. Position Responsibilities

• Produce precision machine work using manual equipment, including:
• • Manual lathes
  • Manual mills
  • Drill presses
  • Horizontal and vertical boring mills
• Manufacture, repair, and modify precision components to customer specifications.
• Read and accurately interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Perform machining for fabrication and repair of rotating equipment and mechanical components.
• Operate manual lathes to produce precision parts while maintaining tight tolerances.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments including:
• • Micrometers
  • Dial indicators
  • Depth gauges
  • Calipers and other inspection tools
• Select appropriate tooling and machining methods for various applications.
• Perform equipment inspections and basic machine maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and dimensional accuracy are met.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Manual Machinist is required.
• Prior experience working in a job-shop environment is strongly preferred.
• Experience machining to tight tolerances, including bearing housings, shafts, and precision components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, speeds, and material properties.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality workmanship.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attendance, reliability, and work ethic.
