Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation is seeking a Manual Hoist Assembler to join the Assembly department. You will assemble and test manual chain hoists per work orders and ensure each unit meets quality standards while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Strong communication and the ability to work with hand tools are required; reading and understanding English language is essential. This is a non-exempt, full-time on-site role with a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor / Manager Hoist Production

DEPARTMENT: Assembly

BASIC FUNCTION

Assembly of Manual Chain Hoists

GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process customer orders and production work orders for manual hoist products.
• Assemble and test manual hoists per work order specifications.
• Responsible for producing acceptable work which meets or exceeds all Quality Control Standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
• Exhibit interpersonal skills sufficient to perform as an active team member.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have high school diploma or acceptable equivalent.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to operate manual and power hand tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Routine stooping, squatting, and bending.
• Occasional heavy lifting up to 65 pounds.
• Ability to stand 7+ hours per day.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Demonstrate a positive and business-like attitude.
• Team Player.
• Ability to work independently.
• Required to wear all OSHA mandated safety equipment and to adhere to all company safety practices and policies.
• Conduct all interactions with customers (internal and external), vendors, field sales representatives, co-workers, and supervisors in a focused, positive, courteous, and respectful manner.
