Please**Job Title:**Manual Grinder **Location:**Nashville, TN **Job Summary:** The Manual Grinder will work with Chamfer Grinders, and other various manual machines to produce premium quality, high precision, cutting tools. Will verify accuracy by using engineering prints, component drawings, assembly drawings, and engineering specifications. Use hardware on the build sheets to assemble final product to print specifications. **Duties/Responsibilities:** Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances for finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Other duties assigned. **Education and Experience:** High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. of 1 year machine shop experience is Experience with Surface Grinders is preferred. **Required Skills/Abilities:** Strong math skills required to perform day to day operations including the ability to convert metric to inch and decimal to fraction. Ability to accurately read blueprints. Ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers. Ability to machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders. Ability to measure, examine, and test completed tools in order to detect defects and ensure conformance with specifications. Ability to set up, adjust, and operate basic machine tools in order to perform precision machining operations.Ability to monitor feeds and speeds of machines during the machining process. **Physical Requirements:** Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to stoop, bend or kneel when required.GWS Tool Group is a North American company that specializes in making custom, standard, and modified standard cutting tools.
