Job summary

Milan Institute-Nampa is seeking a skilled Manicure Instructor to join our faculty in the San Antonio area. You will deliver high-quality theory and hands-on instruction to aspiring nail professionals.

You will design engaging lesson plans, supervise practical sessions, assess progress, and mentor students while staying current with industry trends. Requirements include a valid manicurist/cosmetology license, an instructor license, at least 3 years of professional experience, and prior teaching

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Manicurist or cosmetology license in good standing is required.
  • Current Instructor license is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a practicing manicurist.
  • Prior teaching or training experience in manicuring/cosmetology education is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of manicuring principles, practices, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to convey complex concepts.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and passion for educating students.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in instructional technology and multimedia resources.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum and objectives.
  • Provide theoretical and practical instruction in nail care, nail art, manicure techniques, and sanitation.
  • Demonstrate and model proper techniques, safety practices, and industry standards.

Position Overview

  • Supervise and provide hands‑on guidance to students during practical sessions and laboratory work.
  • Assess student progress through evaluations, examinations, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Identify and address individual learning needs and support students who may require it.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and new techniques in manicuring to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and cutting-edge.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and laboratory environment.
  • Mentor and inspire students as role models and professional guides in their manicuring journey.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to curriculum development, program enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

Hours and Availability
