Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a Video Learning Content Developer in Bellevue, WA to transform complex software engineering concepts into engaging training videos and learning content. The role combines instructional content development with hands-on video production using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Express Video Editor, including AI-enabled capabilities.

You will produce end-to-end video content, collaborate with software engineers and SMEs, and ensure clarity and consistency across learning materials

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing training videos, instructional videos, learning content, or technical training materials.
• Strong proficiency with Adobe After Effects.
• Experience with Adobe Express Video Editor, including AI-assisted video/content creation capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience with video editing and video content production.
• Ability to develop training content from technical or complex source material.
• Strong storytelling, writing, editing, and visual communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers and technical subject matter experts.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple content deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Maintain content quality, visual design, and learning experience consistency.
• Revise training content based on stakeholder feedback and evolving requirements.

About the Role:

Job Title: Video Learning Content Developer

Location: Bellevue, WA

Role Overview

We are looking for a Content Developer with strong video production and training-content development skills to support a Software Engineering team. This role will focus on transforming technical concepts, processes, and product information into engaging, easy-to-understand training videos and learning content.

The ideal candidate combines instructional content development with hands‑on video production skills and is comfortable using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Express Video Editor, including AI-enabled capabilities, to create polished learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop engaging video-based training and learning content for technical audiences.
• Partner with software engineers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to understand technical concepts and translate them into clear training materials.
• Create end-to-end video content, including:
• Content outlines and storyboards
• Training scripts
• Video production and editing
• Motion graphics and visual elements
• Final learning/training assets
• Use Adobe After Effects to develop professional motion graphics, animations, transitions, and other visual elements.
• Use Adobe Express Video Editor and AI-enabled video tools to accelerate content creation and editing.
• Simplify complex technical information into content that is clear, concise, and engaging for learners.
• Maintain consistency in content quality, visual design, messaging, and learning experience.
• Revise and enhance training content based on stakeholder feedback and evolving technical requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience developing training videos, instructional videos, learning content, or technical training materials.
• Strong proficiency with Adobe After Effects.
• Experience with Adobe Express Video Editor, including AI-assisted video/content creation capabilities.

• Familiarity with additional Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
• Experience leveraging generative AI or AI-assisted tools for video, graphics, scripting, or learning-content development.
• Portfolio demonstrating technical training videos, instructional content, motion graphics, or similar work

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $65,000 - $75,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
