Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation seeks a Manager of Project Controls to oversee all controls functions, ensuring timely reporting, forecasting, and analysis. You will lead a team of cost engineers, schedulers, and estimators, aligning schedules with objectives and controlling costs through forecasts and earned value management.

You will collaborate with project teams to minimize risk, implement standards, and drive continuous improvement in project execution while meeting contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive project controls experience in construction/energy.
• At least 5 years in a leadership or management role within project controls.
• Proven expertise in project scheduling software and cost management systems.
• Strong earned value management (EVM) knowledge and applications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain project controls procedures, standards, and systems across various projects.
• Lead and mentor a team of project controls specialists including cost engineers, schedulers, and estimators.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules with critical path analysis.
• Manage budgeting, cost control, forecasting, variance analysis, and earned value management.
• Prepare and present project performance reports, including financial summaries and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to integrate controls activities.
• Identify risks and opportunities; develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Ensure compliance with policies, best practices, and contractual requirements related to project controls.
• Participate in reviews and audits; drive continuous improvement in controls function.
