Job summary

The Kinetic Group in Lonoke, AR is seeking a team member to transport materials, feed machines, and reconcile scrap as part of our manufacturing process. You will follow safety rules, wear required PPE, and support ISO goals while maintaining accurate process records.

Starting hourly rate is $24.35, with final annual compensation determined at offer based on experience, location, and skills. Forklift certification and basic computer skills are required, and overtime may be needed to meet

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or recognized equivalent.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English sufficiently to perform duties.
• One year forklift experience and ability to pass forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Transports raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished goods to insure efficient process flow.
• Drains and fills machines with materials and weighs/reconciles scrap in SAP/MRP.
• Maintains process records, adheres to safety rules, and follows ISO directives.
• Tends one or more machines, loads materials, conveys scrap, and documents activities.
• Operates with 5S housekeeping standards and participates in problem solving.
• Overtime may be required; supports team and management as needed.

Job Description

General Summary

Transports raw material, semi-finished goods and finished goods as required to insure efficient process flow. Drains and fills machines with raw material or semi-finished goods as required. Weighs and reconciles scrap in SAP/MRP system. Follows oral and written instructions, wears protective equipment where and when directed and obeys all plant and safety rules and regulations. Supports the facility’s mission, safety and ISO goals and directives and is an active participant of the Remington Team. Principal Duties and Accountabilities (*Essential Functions)

• Works in a safe and orderly manner at all times. Obeys plant, department and area rules and regulations and proactively encourages other team members to do so.
• Obtains, maintains and wears or uses all necessary safety equipment as directed by work instructions or area supervisor.
• Attends shift, department and plant meetings in a timely manner as directed by supervisor.
• Tends one or more machines or processes in work area(s) as directed by area supervisor, including but not limited to:
  • o Conveying raw materials to machine(s) or work area(s)
  • o Loading raw materials into machine(s) or work surfaces
  • o Conveying, weighing and processing process scrap materials
• Maintains process integrity with proper documentation and observance of process records
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area at all times.
• Assists in mentoring new and temporary associates in assigned work area.
• May handle hazardous waste, including labeling, inspecting, storing and transferring.
• Hazardous Waste Management training must be completed within six months of entering the job and annually each year thereafter. All employees handling hazardous waste must work under direct supervision of a supervisor or other employee trained in hazardous waste management until the employee has received Hazardous Waste Management training.
• Must be forklift certified – 1 year experience.
• Comply with all safety standards and regulations provided by the company and government (e.g. LOTOT, Work Permits, etc.).
• Operates machinery and achieves key performance metrics.
• Adheres to all housekeeping/sanitation standards in and around work area including 5S standards.
• Performs required quality inspections and delivers samples to Ballistics.
• Serves as a team member to solve problems or implement positive improvements.
• Assist with any other projects and/or tasks on an as needed basis as directed by Team Leader and/or management.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and requires hearing protection to be worn in the work area. Physical Demands • Vision correctable to 20/20 with normal depth perception and peripheral vision • Ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 25 lbs. unaided • Ability to push a loaded production buggy weighing as much as 1,500 lbs. • Ability to stand or sit for up to 3 hours at a time • Ability to occasionally kneel, crouch, bend or extend reach as required to perform tasks • Ability to ascend and descend stairs • Ability to grasp and feel small parts Note: One or more of the Physical Demands may be waived to enable challenged individuals the opportunity of employment provided this accommodation does not adversely affect other employees.
