Job summary

Senior Helpers – South Tacoma is seeking a compassionate caregiver to support a senior client in Tacoma, providing one-on-one care in the client’s home and building a meaningful connection. This part-time role offers flexible hours and an opportunity to help a client stay safe, independent, and comfortable.

The position requires fluent Mandarin, CNA/HCA certification, and at least 1 year of caregiving experience.

Qualifications

• Mandarin Chinese required.
• CNA or HCA certification required.
• Minimum 1 year caregiving experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfort using caregiving apps for scheduling and documentation.
• Ability to write clear documentation in English.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Engage in meaningful conversation and activities.
• Assist with personal care such as dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Communicate updates regarding client’s condition and daily activities.
