Animal Tracks in Decatur, Alabama, is seeking an experienced Managing Veterinarian (MDVM) to lead a growing small animal practice. You’ll guide medical direction, mentor veterinarians, and help shape the hospital’s future as we move into a state-of-the-art facility.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of companion animal experience, a DVM, Alabama license, and DEA license, with a collaborative leadership style and a commitment to exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
• Active Alabama veterinary license (or ability to obtain).
• DEA license (or eligibility to obtain).
• 3+ years of companion animal clinical experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide high-quality medical and surgical care, including wellness exams, diagnostics, dentistry, treatment planning, and surgery.
• Build lasting client relationships through clear communication, preventive care education, and compassionate end-of-life guidance.
• Lead by example while maintaining the highest standards of medical care and ethical practice.
• Mentor and support associate veterinarians through collaboration and day-to-day coaching.
