Job summary

Oley Valley Animal Clinic in Oley, PA is seeking a Managing Veterinarian to stay actively involved in patient care while providing medical leadership for the hospital. The role combines clinical excellence with leadership duties and team mentorship.

You will partner with the Hospital Manager, help set medical protocols, and support ongoing professional development while maintaining high standards of care in a community-minded practice.

Oley Valley Animal Clinic is looking for a Managing Veterinarian to join our team and help lead the next chapter of our well-established small animal practice.

Serving dogs and cats throughout Oley Valley and the surrounding communities, we’re proud to combine quality medicine with the comfortable, personal feel of a community practice. We also work closely with three local rescue organizations, giving our team the opportunity to make an even bigger impact on animals throughout the area.

A Hospital Built for Great Medicine

Our hospital was remodeled just two years ago and offers a bright, modern space designed to help our team work efficiently and provide excellent patient care.

You’ll Have Access To
  • Seven state-of-the‑art exam rooms
  • A spacious, dedicated surgical suite
  • A modern dentistry suite
  • Well‑equipped treatment areas
  • The ability to perform a wide variety of soft‑tissue surgical procedures
  • Same‑day sick appointments for patients who need more immediate care
  • A dedicated and experienced support team committed to helping our doctors provide exceptional patient care

Appointments are generally scheduled for 30 minutes, whether sick or wellness, allowing our doctors to maintain a steady flow while still building relationships with clients and their pets.

The Opportunity

As our Managing Veterinarian, you won’t be trading your stethoscope for a desk. You’ll remain an active part of patient care while also serving as a trusted medical leader for the hospital.

You’ll Partner Closely With Our Hospital Manager To

A Schedule With Flexibility

We know there’s no one-size-fits-all veterinary schedule. Our doctors have flexibility to build a schedule that works for them, including 8- or 10‑hour days, with some doctors choosing three longer days per week.

Hospital Hours Are
  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–7:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
  • Sunday: Closed

Doctors begin appointments at 9:00 AM, and Saturday coverage is every other Saturday.

  • Graduate of an AVMA‑accredited veterinary school or successful completion of the ECFVG certification program
  • Active veterinary license
