ERM, the leading global sustainability consultancy, seeks a Managing Consultant, Safe and Sustainable Operations, in Houston, TX. You will lead high-impact EHS projects, strengthen regulatory performance, and build resilient operations for diverse clients worldwide.

Bring 4–6 years (7+ preferred) of multimedia EHS compliance experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and proven project leadership. Travel up to 25% is expected; MS/PE/CSP/CHMM are a plus. ERM fosters inclusion and career growth.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years experience in multimedia EHS compliance and management systems (consulting preferred).
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulatory areas (e-waste, hazardous waste, stormwater, wastewater, EPCRA).
• Experience leading proposals, projects, budgets, and timelines with quality outcomes.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Experience auditing compliance programs and EHS management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS compliance audits and corrective action implementation across client operations.
• Develop and implement EHS management systems and regulatory programs (water, waste, spill prevention).
• Provide permit application development and regulatory agency communication support.
• Provide on-site compliance support and technical expertise at client facilities.
• Manage multiple projects end-to-end within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Identify growth opportunities, prepare technical proposals, and lead new business with clients.
• Collaborate with ERM's global network to share best practices and deliver innovative solutions.
• Mentor junior staff and support team development and performance.
